The US Latino Digital Humanities Center is pleased to invite you to El junte: Puerto Rican Poetry. This event will feature readings by poets and writers from the Puerto Rican Literature Project/El Proyecto de literatura puertorriqueña (PLPR). “El junte” is a play on the term “La Junta de Control Fiscal,” that criticizes the legislative body that revises and approves the Puerto Rican government’s budget and obligations, created by PROMESA, a federal law.
