BECKY CHAVARRÍA-CHÁIREZ is a public relations consultant and freelance journalist. Her first bilingual picture book for children, Magda’s Tortillas / Las tortillas de Magda, was published by Piñata Books in 2000. She was raised in San Antonio, Texas, and now lives in Dallas with her husband and two daughters.
ANNE VEGA lives with her husband and two children in Nashville, Tennessee, where she works as an artist and illustrator. She studied at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio, and at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Her work has graced numerous book covers and her first book, Magda’s Tortillas / Las tortillas de Magda.
